April 2022: The MDL Paraquat class action judge will have a status conference on April 1st to review where the litigation is headed and how best to take the bellwether lawsuits forward for trial in November 2022. 44 new paraquat lawsuits have been added to the MDL in the last two weeks. At this pace, April 2022 will be the busiest month for new files yet. Last week, the parties filed their class-action bellwether picks with the Paraquat MDL judge. Those choices, however, have not been made public.

May 2022: In the last month, over 50 new cases have been added to the Paraquat Lawsuit Multidistrict Litigation (MDL). A group of six patients was recently selected by the Paraquat MDL court for the initial Paraquat Parkinson's disease bellwether trials. As a result, the first trial in November 2022 is approaching soon. The strategy is to select 16 paraquat claims from among the almost 1000 Parkinson's disease litigation claims filed. Following some limited fact discovery in these instances, paraquat attorneys on both sides submitted a preference list to the MDL court, ranking the 16 cases in order of priority. Attorneys for plaintiffs seek the finest facts for their clients, while defense attorneys want the worst. The judge whittled the list down to six Paraquat claims based on these rankings.

Property Damage Claim Help

If you’re facing a denial of property/home/house insurance claim, a low offer, a voided policy threat, or you suspect insurance broker negligence played a role in inadequate limits, we’re here to help.

Our goal is to make the claims process clearer, calmer, and better documented—so you’re not pressured into accepting less than you should. When you contact us, we can assess your coverage and overall claim posture, including what the insurer is accepting, questioning, or denying, and help you organize and strengthen the documentation that supports your loss, such as photos, estimates, inventories, and communications. We can challenge undervaluations involving scope, pricing, depreciation, and the difference between actual cash value (ACV) and replacement cost, and we can pursue additional living expenses (ALE) and contents losses to ensure your temporary housing and personal property impacts are fully considered. We also help you respond strategically to insurer correspondence, proof-of-loss demands, and examination-under-oath (EUO) requests, and we can evaluate potential broker or agent issues if your limits or endorsements were inadequate. Every case is different, and nothing on this page is legal advice—your options depend on a review of your policy and the specific facts of your claim.

How We Can Help

Visiting a loved one in prison is already an emotional challenge. If you’ve faced sexual abuse while trying to visit, the pain and trauma can feel overwhelming. No one should endure such an experience, especially while trying to provide support to an incarcerated family member. We are dedicated to helping individuals who have suffered sexual abuse during prison visits. We understand the unique emotional, legal, and financial struggles that come with these traumatic events. Our compassionate team is here to support you every step of the way, ensuring that your rights are protected and your voice is heard.

When your home is hit by a major loss—fire, windstorm, smoke damage, flood, theft, or another severe weather event—the insurance process can feel like a second disaster. If you’re dealing with a property insurance claim or house/home insurance claim that’s delayed, underpaid, or denied, we can help you understand your options and push for a fair outcome.

Richard Turley, a known pedophile, abused multiple boys across Scouts organizations in Canada and the U.S. from the 1970s to 1980s, moving between troops without intervention. A CBC investigation revealed that while Scouts Canada dismissed Turley in the 1980s after learning of misconduct, it took nearly a decade for law enforcement to take action. The Boy Scouts of America was aware of Turley’s offenses yet allowed him to evade authorities. Turley, who faced conviction in the 1990s, admitted to exploiting the Scouts' trust to target victims. The scandal highlights systemic failures in protecting children from abuse.

Why Now? - Understanding Your

Legal Window to Act

Even when you’ve paid premiums for years, insurers may still challenge or limit a claim. Some of the most common pressure points include:

Where Property Insurance Claims Often Go Wrong

1) Coverage is questioned early

You may receive a reservation of rights, which can signal the insurer is investigating and may later deny part (or all) of the claim.

2) Your loss is undervalued

Disputes often come down to how the insurer calculates:

Actual cash value (ACV) (depreciated value) vs. replacement cost

Repair scope (what’s “needed” vs. what’s “reasonable”)

Code upgrades, hidden damage, and specialized remediation (smoke, water, mold-related concerns)

3) The insurer demands technical compliance

Property claims can become a maze of deadlines and forms, including:

Proof of loss

Requests for recorded statements, receipts, and detailed inventories

Allegations of a breach of condition in a home/house/property insurance policy/claim

4) The claim turns adversarial

Some homeowners encounter:

Ongoing delays without clear explanations

Shifting adjusters and inconsistent instructions

Dispute tactics that feel like bad faith or adjuster bad faith

Requests for an examination under oath* (EUO)

5) Serious outcomes: voided policies & misrepresentation allegations

In some cases, insurers allege misrepresentation or material misrepresentation and attempt a voided policy (or seek to void property/home/house insurance). These situations are high-stakes and require careful handling.
